Pelpr Ltd (“Pelpr”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of all participants on our platform, including job seekers (“Candidates”) and employers (“Clients”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you use our website www.pelpr.io, our platform at app.pelpr.io, or any related apps and services (together, the “Services”).

Pelpr Ltd is registered in the United Kingdom (Company No.15782705) and registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We act as a “data controller” for the personal data we process.

2.1 Data You Provide to Us
  • Candidates: Full name, email address, phone number, CV/resume, employment history, education, skills, portfolio links, and any other information you choose to provide.

  • Clients: Company name, industry, size, contact details, and job listing information.

  • Communications you send us via email, live chat, or the platform.

2.2 Data We Collect Automatically
  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, navigation paths.

  • Activity and usage events captured via PostHog and Google Analytics for service improvement and performance monitoring.

2.3 Special Category Data

Your CV or profile may contain “special category” data (e.g., ethnicity, health, trade union membership). We do not request this data and advise you to remove it before uploading. If you choose to include it, we process it only with your explicit consent and for the purpose of matching you with opportunities.

4. Marketing Communications

We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in, or if you are an existing customer under the “soft opt-in” rules in PECR. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting support@pelpr.io.

We use SendGrid to send email communications, and your email address will be processed by them for this purpose.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and marketing. This includes:

  • Essential cookies – required for the Services to function.

  • Analytics cookies – via PostHog and Google Analytics to understand user behaviour.

  • Marketing cookies – for tracking and re-marketing.

6. Sharing Your Data

We share your personal data only when necessary:

  • With Clients – If you are a Candidate and apply or are matched to a role.

  • With Service Providers – Including:

    • SendGrid – email delivery and marketing

    • Intercom – customer support and live chat

    • PostHog – product analytics

    • Google Analytics – web analytics

  • With regulators or legal authorities – when required by law.

  • In business transfers – if we sell or merge part/all of our business.

7. International Data Transfers

Some service providers (e.g., SendGrid, Intercom, Google) are based outside the UK/EEA. Where your data is transferred internationally, we ensure it is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards approved by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
